[Vellum](https://kita.gawa.moe/paweljw/vellum) is an experimental copyleft personal wiki. Since none of the available software really filled all my needs, I decided to build one myself. Try it out for yourself. It's not complete yet! There are missing features, bugs, and months worth of pie-in-the-sky ideas. It's very much not ready for production. And yet - **this site runs on Vellum**. I strongly believe in [dogfooding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_your_own_dog_food) - the practice of using your own software to achieve real-world goals. That's why I choose to run experimental, unproven software on my personal site. It's a risk. After all, someone might encounter a particularly nasty issue, and it might color their opinion of my work as a whole, right? I believe that to build solid software in the long run, it's a risk worth taking.
